About the calculator

The calculator will calculate the maximum time required to charge a battery, typically including efficiency loss, as no battery is 100% efficient. Efficiency decreases with use, age, stratification and sulphation. If efficiency loss is more than 40%, it is best to look into the charger or replace the battery. The calculator requires an input of Battery Capacity (mAh) and Charge Rate Current (mA) to determine the maximum charge time of a battery.
