About Battery State of Charge Checker
A battery voltage calculator can help you determine the state of charge or health of your battery based on its voltage reading.
How to use the checker
- Measure the Battery Voltage: Use a multimeter to measure the voltage across the battery terminals. Make sure the car is not running, and there is no electrical load on the battery.
- Enter the recorded Voltage in the calculator to calculate the 12v battery state of charge. A fully charged 12-volt battery typically has a voltage of around 12.6 to 12.7 volts when it’s at rest (not being charged or discharged).
Note: Please note that this is a basic estimation of the battery’s state of charge and does not account for factors like temperature and battery age. For a more accurate assessment, you may want to use a battery tester or consult your vehicle’s manual for specific voltage guidelines.
